Got a question? but being the doorbell is in trial mode for I guess 20 somthing days or whatever and is why some have waited 22 days before seeing a update.

I have motion detections and live views every day, when check, the date of the healthcheck changes but the firmware version doesnt nor is the doorbell in update mode. I am going to say you are correct sir and my theroy is wrong! Auto-suggest helps you quickly narrow down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type. My doorbell is now showing “up to date” and the snapshot feature is working.

if you look at the basic version of the plan you get snapshot so you won't get this until the trial ends and your plan becomes active then you should see the update. I figured an easy way for Ring to do this is via user agent strings. 1 was showing Up to Date until yesterday but is now showing version 2.1.01005, My other one which I am having issues with the Snapshot Capture Function is still showing 1.16.00272. I'm keeping the sucker and if the thing updates it updates , if it don't then oh well! I have one spotlight camera "Up To Date" and a Ring Doorbell Pro that previously worked just fine but is now having issues, which is on 2.1.01005.

I bet the Techs don't even realize this if my theroy is correct, ****I included a attachment to the right of this****. 1 was showing Up to Date until yesterday but is now showing version 2.1.01005 maybe it thinks theres an update but there isn’t; maybe it will resolve next time they release one etc. Ring, please stop covering up product problems and get your act together. but nothing ever changes. My snapshot is also working now. Support has been brutal! Not all customers are technically incompetent and are now very tired of tier-1 tech support wasting our time! Please be patient if your device state's a number - it will update automatically. lol! So I have NO clue what firmware my spotlight camera is on, and NO clue what version my doorbell SHOULD be on.

Been at 2....005 for a few weeks now on my two doorbell pros.

This is just a theroy of mine and who knows if it is factual? I wonder if that is still the latest version and how we'll know if there is an updated firmware version since our doorbells aren't showing Up to Date. Ok sir, does it work now? Have you had any luck? I guess we will never know what the problem is but as always the consumer gets the blunt of it every time. That is suppossed to mean the Firmware needs to be updated. Since yesterday it changed to version 'up to date'. I did an online chat with Ring and they forced a reset and now my firmware says Up to Date. So it's rolling out slowly. Same issue here. The Community is full of answers!

It is regularly updated by Ring to improve the reliability and functionality of your device.

Just wondering if everyone's Chime Pro states that it is "Up to Date" or shows a firmware version.. My doorbell and floodlights have been working fine, no issue with them so far after exchanging a defective one and getting an ORBI WiFi network but in the last few weeks my 3 Chime Pro's have been offline because they are unable to update themselves even after downloading the update. They are well trained to blame it on your equipment. I do find it odd they are including snapshot in the basic version and not on the free one, I signed up for the Basic after my trial runs out. Well! I’ve had the same issue, purchased new last week and can’t get the firmware to update. Still, no issues with either device, and Snapshot Capture finally appeared on NYE out of nowhere for all 4 of my cameras. I’m to the point where I’m ready return the device and go in a different direction. I've spent 47 years in the tech industry, including some time at Google, and I've never seen anything like this. Just wanted to ensure it was the latest as I read there is a security issue with these doorbells if the firmware wasn't updated. I’d have to say your theory is incorrect.

lol! you sure made sure to quickley point out it's wrong...lol! Hey everyone, for what it's worth, I spoke to support earlier this week about something unrelated and she advised, despite showing the version number, my DB Pro and Wired SuC are both up to date on v. 2.1.01005. It's like there write protected or they shipped out a bunch of prototypes instead of the original doorbells.

SMH! Ring Chime and Chime Pro Note: Do not press the setup button or remove the device from power while it is updating.
